Note 22.09.2019 - We are rebooting RaW and are using this thread to sign up! Note that the posts are old, but this OP is up to date with all the information and maps you need. The sign ups will be lasting until Wednesday 2. October, and the first round will start on Thursday 3. October. May the bloodshed commence!
You'll find all rules and maps for the ReV at WaR here. You will also have to post here if you'd like to sign up, although it is allowed to ask on Discord and such too, and we'll add you
1. All members of ReV are heartily welcome to participate in the ReV at WaR (RaW). You sign up here in this thread. In the very first round, I will be adding people based on skill. But from that point on, new entries are automatically put into the lowest class and will have to work him- or herself up from there.
2. All participants are divided into various Classes (Class S, Class A, etc.). You will only play against the other members in your own Class. Each class will consist of a maximum of 3 players. The top of each Class is promoted up one Class, and the bottom of each Class is demoted down (i.e. First place in Class A is promoted to Class S, and the bottom of Class S is demoted to Class A etc.). I may however override this rule in order to make things more organized.
3. Each set is a Best of 3. The first map of the series is announced every Thursday when the Classes and results are announced. After that, loser picks from BSL, Ladder, and STPL Season 2 mappool. The same map may NOT be played twice. Maps can be downloaded in this post (except for Ladder maps, which you automatically have in your folder).
4. Players who only play one set or no sets at all, are removed from the rankings. Players may miss one game without penalty. However, if one player consistently have games unplayed, he or she may still be removed. Any members who have been removed, are free to rejoin. However, they must start in the lowest Class, regardless of how high they were previously.
5. Each round lasts two weeks. The Classes and maps are announced every Thursday. All games must be played and reported by Wednesday evening.
6. Remember to report the games! You do not have to upload replays, but you are required to report the games. Players who play their games but never report them, may still be removed from the Rankings. Keep things organized, please.
7. Players who wish to have feedback on their replays, can either post them in the Strategy section on our forum, or in the replays channel on our Discord server. Players are then free to give feedback and discuss the games.
These rules are subject to change as we gain more experience in organizing it. I will post whenever something is changed, so you'll know by seeing that there's a new post here.
