Hello everyone,
Yesterday, Clan ReV had an initiative. A Bo1 Tourney for clan members and friends. Unfortunately it didn't go as plan. Nevertheless we saw an opportunity to start a fun and relaxed Koth (King of the Hill). I'll give you guys a small recap of the games. All replays will be later uploaded to our replay section.
Koth participants:
- BaD[ReV] Zerg
- SteamMachine[ReV] Terran
- earob[ReV] Protoss
- Skabb[ReV] Zerg (newb!)
- Fulmi[ReV] Protoss
It started off with a Z vs T, BaD vs SteamMachine. The map was La Mancha. BaD went for 3 hact mutal, switching to some ling lurk afterwards, but none of that was enough to fight off Steam's tech army, 1-1 gols and valkyries to help the air fight. A good start to the Koth.
The second match placed earob as a challenger versus the raining champion SteamMachine. The game went on to be a really well disputed match on Circuit Breaker(Current Champion picks map). It took around 25 minutes to see a clear victor. In the end, SteamMachine carried on with his Koth Champion run.
Now things got a bit harder for everyone, as Skabb[ReV] showed up in the channel, I "forced" him to play in the event. He doesn't know how to say no to me, just my thirds xD. SteamMachine faced his strongest opponent thus far, making it a good match between the Terran Champion and the Zerg Challenger. After some back a forth battles for the middle map control, Skabb had too much swarm/ultra/ling/guardian for our King to hold off. SteamMachine GG'ed after a great showing of skills and beating everyone till this moment. Map was Fighting Spirit.
To make it a continuous challenge for the new King, Fulminator was recruited to wreck havoc! Even tho, Skabb picked Blue Storm (unbalanced ZvsP incoming!!). I must be honest, I hosted the game, then afk'ed to go and have dinner. Once I was back Fulmi[ReV] was already determined the victor. I'm sorry about that. Replays will of course give everyone a chance to catch up with this last game of the Koth, including me xD.
Thank you and congratulations to everyone who showed up and participated or supported the players. Special congratulations to SteamMachine who managed to have the best score during the Koth Event, 2 Victories 1 Loss. Although there weren't enough games to really find out who came in 2nd place, we can proudly say, everyone else was 2nd place
Gogogo ReV Fighting!!
Note: As you all might understand by the 1st sentence of this post, there was an Event planned and there wasn't enough respect for the iniciative as it was somewhat ignored and "shelfed" by almost everyone. Not to be a party pooper but I believe we can act differently in these kind of situations. We had a solution to follow up(Koth), but the downside was in fact not having Incomplete present. Schedule is always a pain to manage and to host these events and not having him there makes me sad in my special place humans call heart. Dont take it too seriously, but I think everyone get this point.
