The BWCL season is just around the corner and as such, all members should be fully informed about what's coming.
Organizers. To start off, the two people responsible for organizing the BWCL CWs are Incomplete.ReV, NarsiL.ReV, Caspas.ReV, and MaytOsS.ReV. These players are the first to contact when having any questions about specific BWCL CWs. General questions can of course be asked here in the thread/forum, to which pretty much anyone can reply.
Read the rules, in case you haven't. I've highlighted the rules I find most useful for the common member here; clan-rev.freeforums.net/thread/32/bwcl-rules. However, I do advice all to read through the full list (link can be found in my other thread).
Maps. BWCL has its own mappool. Download the mappack and get familiar with the maps, unless you're fine with playing on maps that are new to you in the CWs. You can download the maps here:
And here's the list over maps:

2n2:
What can we expect? The most important thing is to be aware of the time zone and be sure to be on time. Even if our opposing team is manner and you might get away with coming in late, it shows bad form not to be on time. It's better to be 15 minutes early, than 2 minutes late. Every CW starts at 19.00 CEST/GMT+1. This means, if you're from the UK (which is in GMT+0 time zone), you are to meet up at 18.00. If you're from Norway, Germany etc. (GMT+1/CEST) you show up at 19.00. If you're from Bulgaria, Estonia etc. (which is GMT+2) you show up at 20.00.
You will be informed regarding which channel you should show up in.
Our CW organizers set the line up based on the information they have at the time. You are free to complain about them, however do not go into a lengthy discussion during the CW. Take it with them directly or here on the forum, some time after the CW.
This is the BWCL Discord channel: discord.gg/MnCGFA6 This is where the games will be reported. However, contact XzOz and/or GruGloG before reporting any games. They might want to collect the replays and report them, rather than having each member report individually.
What should I think about?
One thing I'd like you to think about, is finding someone you can/want to play 2v2 with. I suggest using our own Discord channel and use the voice chat there. I'll set up some more channels, so that more people can practice 2v2 games in peace, assuming you don't want to just hang in our General-chat. If you're interested in playing 2v2, go to this thread on our forum; clan-rev.freeforums.net/thread/34/2v2-players-wants-play-plays
I also think it's important that no one should feel the need to be at a certain skill level before being able to play. The most important thing at this point is that we get a line up at all. Furthermore, I also think it's important that we focus on improving, rather than winning. If we're going to be the best, then we're going to be the best by having a deep roster. Not by having a one-trick pony line up. And in my experience, skill is nothing compared to the comraderie of having clan mates. And when the time comes that we have a lot of people at significantly different skill levels, we can always form an A- and B-squad. But that's for a later time.
We are here to improve together. Don't feel like you should perform. If you lose, you lose. It's what you do with the loss that I wish to focus on. Use it to become better. Use it to show that we hold manners high.
We'll get there!
Lastly, remember that if your opponents are bad manner etc., do not start trash talking back. Tell them that it's not okay and such, but don't start going into some insult competition. Take a screen shot and have it reported to BWCL. They tend to take these matter seriously and have a long and strong tradition in striking down on such behaviour. However, if you don't keep your manners up, you'll end up being punished as well. Bad manners may also be punished by our own administration through being removed/suspended from the BWCL team or similar.
I think this should cover most of it. Please do ask if there's anything you're wondering about, since chances are that others wonder as well. The more you ask, the more you'll be prepared - and there's no such thing as asking too much! I really wish I could be there on Sundays, but unfortunately I'll probably only be able to pop by on rare occasions. I'm hoping you all will have a lovely time in the BWCL and find more motivation to keep improving - godspeed!
